Busy week preparing for Wedding Fayres
What a busy week!
Some late nights, early mornings and long naps (for wee Frankie!) have meant that I've managed to get through this busy busy week and just about have everything done for tomorrow's Wedding Fayre. I'm getting quite excited about it now, always love chatting to brides and hearing their wedding plans!
Wedding Cupcakes to Croucher's Hotel Chichester:
I've baked 90 wedding cupcakes in chocolate and vanilla, decorated them with brightly coloured butter cream and white chocolate ganache and finished them with hand made sugar roses, blossoms and hydrangeas. All packaged up now and ready for a Wedding at Croucher's Hotel Chichester later today. Now I can't wait to deliver them! More about Frizelle Cupcakes
Creating Wedding Cake and Novelty Cake Portfolios
Creating a portfolio has been on my 'to do' list since I started Frizelle Cakes last year and my self imposed deadline was tomorrow's Wedding Fayre. So of course I've been rushing to print pictures and organise them all week. But today my Portfolios are finished!
So I now have three portfolios: Wedding Cakes, Novelty cakes and Cake Designs. Not quite my the bespoke embossed buttery leather Brodies portfolio that I'd been eyeing up online (Brodiesportfolio), but they're a start and hopefully my clients will like them!
Designing Frizelle Cakes Flyers
I now have 5000 Frizelle Cakes Flyers! Not quite sure what I'll do with them all, but I'll start by giving out some at the Fontwell Wedding Racecourse Fayre tomorrow. This was another job that I've been meaning to do for AGES and in the end left it a bit late. I designed the flyers myself using photoshop elements which I am slooowwwwwly getting used to. Took forever though and I would still tweak my final design, but now they're here and as I now have 5000 I won't be reprinting anytime soon!
The printing company was fab; really friendly, fast and reliable. I'd recommend Fat Flyers in Brighton anytime!
Wedding Cake Consultations and Quotations
I've also been really busy talking to clients about their wedding cakes. There's so much interest in Frizelle Cakes at the moment its brilliant! My most exciting enquiry was about an Eiffel Tower Wedding Cake. I hope they decide to go ahead with that idea because I would LOVE to make it!
Baking
Of course I've also been baking! Lots of gorgeous smells around the house and far too much delicious chocolate.. why did I think it was a good idea to give it up for lent?! Come on Easter!
Rare Brand Wedding Market at Southend Barns
I've also decided to have a stall at the Rare Brand Wedding Market in September at Southend Barns. I love their market and discovered the specialist Wedding market via Twitter (so seeing a benefit of Social Media!). Now I can't wait to exhibit with them!
Wedding Fayres
Tomorrow I'll be at The Fontwell Racecourse Wedding Fayre from 10:30 - 3:30. Hope to see you there!
